RUSSIA: THE BEACH

Although I thought St. Petersburg was a beautiful city - on the way out of the port in to town, our bus passed a bunch of empty cars and bikes ditched on the bridge and people sunbathing on what sort of looked like on the side of the road.  The tour guide said because it was a nice day, people go to the "city beaches" and sunbathe.  Most people don't swim in this water though. 

Apparently the city has a lot of beautiful beaches, but this one looked so strange to me.  So industrial.
