THE NETHERLANDS: SOME HAARLEM PILLAR-BITERS

Haarlem has some old beautiful and interesting buildings..

The Netherlands has a complex religious history.  The Grote Kerk church in Haarlem, is also called by some; the St. Bavo.  However, don’t get that mixed up with the Catholic Cathedral of Saint Bavo (the New Bavo).

This second largest church in the Netherlands was designed by Jos Cuypers, the son of the renowned Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers; the designer of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
